Kristi and Chris Sachtleben are located in Pembroke Pines, in South Florida.

Kristi got her start in dogs showing Rough Collies 18 years ago in Colorado.  Kristi relocated to Florida in 1999 and married Chris in 2001.  Chris's lifelong dream was to own a golden retriever so we decided the next addition to our family would be a golden.  It took a few years to decide whether we just wanted a family pet a hunting dog or if I would jump back in the show ring after being absent for a few years.   We were put in touch with Mimi Mendia of Ajan Goldens in Dalton, Georgia and shortly after Dalton came to live with us. 

 

 In Dalton we had it all, wonderful family pet and a hunting and show prospect.   Dalton is the first dog we have put titles on.  He earned his Rally Novice easily and his Canine Good Citizen from AKC. We have dabbled a bit in Field work and hope to add more titles to his name soon.

 

A year after Dalton came to us, I was completely hooked on dog showing.  We went back to Mimi and added a second dog, Treasure, who went on to become our first AKC champion and is the inspiration behind our kennel name "Kilowatt".
